COPYWRITING. MARKETING.
At Siemens, I worked for the Smart Infrastructure (SI) marketing team, which is in charge of six different segments: Automation Solutions, Digital Services, IoT, Security, BPS, and Smart Buildings. This was my first time working for a corporation on such a massive scale, and I quickly had to familiarize myself with the intricate infrastructure to understand my place in the grand scheme of things.
My main project while working at Siemens was to lead a “use case” project for 25 new SI solutions and services. This involved interviewing experts in a number of fields, compiling research, designing a slideshow, and articulating accurate, compelling information. Once completed, I presented this slideshow to an SI exec, who approved the slideshow for use by all U.S. sales people.
Over the course of a few months, I stayed proactive in order to work on other projects. I redesigned the copy and format of an internal training website which was used by thousands of technicians across the country. I also created (researched, wrote copy, curated content, and recorded voiceovers for) a slideshow of informational videos that were distributed to the entire U.S. Sales Team.
I also found opportunities to pitch my own projects. I designed and presented a Tweet Deck Workshop to my team because I thought they would find it useful. After this workshop, my supervisors asked me to give the workshop to several others, including an SI exec.
